Your country and planet need you.
My ballot in 2017
BRING YOUR UMBRELLAS!
particularly in the morning and early afternoon.
Every Election Day,
I visit every one of the 22 precincts in the 45th District.
I hope to see you tomorrow,
rain or shine!
Please say hello when you see me,
before or after you vote.
And please join me in a picture,
as these wonderful constituents did in 2017.
I get one at every precinct...
every Election Day (primary and general) ...
every year...
SEE YOU TOMORROW!
Make Your Plan to Vote
Have you made your plan to vote? Do you know your polling location? Do you know how you're getting to the polls? I am walking to my polling location, Ladrey Senior Center, at 10:30 am tomorrow, and I am bringing my driver's license as ID (more on that below).

Call the Election Protection Hotline if you encounter problems with voting.
For example:
Problems with voting machines
Erroneous or deliberately misleading information about polling locations or times
Voter intimidation or obstruction at the polls
Virginia Voter ID Rules
You Do NOT Need ID to Cast a Ballot (but it's preferred)
In Virginia, you will be asked to provide a photo ID at the polls.
2nd choice
BUT if you don't have an acceptable photo ID, you can get one at your Registrar's office. They will issue a temporary ID right on the spot at the Registrar's office and then allow you to return to your polling place and vote a normal ballot. Just go here:
Alexandria Registrar
132 N Royal St, Suite 100
Arlington Registrar
2100 Clarendon Blvd #320
Fairfax Registrar
12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 323
It takes two steps, but it still gets you a normal ballot on Election Day.
3rd choice
Even if you don't have an acceptable photo ID and even if you are unable to get a free voter photo ID from the your Registrar's office in time to vote on Election Day, you can still cast a provisional ballot.
You would then have until noon on the Friday following the election (11/9/2018) to deliver a copy of your ID to your electoral board so that your provisional ballot will be counted.
IF YOU ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE,
GO VOTE!
THERE IS NO EXCUSE NOT TO VOTE.
Vote at Your Polling Place
Absentee in-person voting has now ended, so if you haven't voted yet, you have to vote at your regular polling place tomorrow. You can enter your address here, and find out exactly where to go.
